Granville, Ohio- Following their loss of the season, the Denison men's soccer team returned to Kienzle-Hylbert to take on the Wittenberg University Tigers and honor the six seniors for Senior Day. The Big Red's 2-0 shutout over the Tigers brings their season record to 11-1-2, and North Coast Athletic Conference record to 3-1-1, while the Tigers drop to 7-3-5 overall and 0-3-2 in conference play.

After a slow start, Denison senior midfield Phil Koutsaftis broke through the Wittenberg backline and found Eli Taylor for goal number one for the Big Red, despite a gritty back-and-forth battle for possession throughout the middle third of the matchup, Denison controlled the pace of the game, forcing multiple errors in the Wittenberg defensive end, leading to a total of 13 corner kick attempts.

In the second half, the Big Red found the back of the Tigers' net again in the 73rd minute; this time, Will Fullerton's shot attempt had a late deflection by senior Kameron Kist to put Denison up by two goals and ultimately secure the victory for the Big Red.

Denison finished the matchup outshooting Wittenberg 18-5, and forced 13 corner kick attempts while giving up just one on its defensive end. Alex Provost didn't face any shots on goal thanks to some stellar defense by the Big Red backline, particularly from senior defender Henri Heyes, who recorded an impactful defensive save midway through the game. The Tigers' Sam Nitzberg finished the day with three saves.
