GRANVILLE, Ohio –
Eric Colaco (Richfield, Ohio/Revere) highlighted the Denison University baseball team's representation on the 2024 Division III All-America Teams as selected by D3baseball.com and ABCA/Rawlings.
D3baseball.com awarded Colaco with its highest honor as D3baseball.com Player of the year. In addition, Colaco earned First Team honors from both organizations following a tremendous junior season.
The now two-time North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Player of the Year, led Division III in doubles (28), ranked second in runs (79), finished third in hits (89) and stolen bases (42). Colaco also ranked fourth in total bases (149) and fifth in triples (7). He reached base in all 50 games during Denison's school record 42-win season.
Colaco will enter his senior season with 230 hits, 209 runs scored, 164 RBI and 112 stolen bases. He has combined to total 94 extra base hits – 60 doubles, 13 triples and 21 home runs. Colaco has a .387 batting average, a .638 slugging percentage and a .469 on-base percentage for his career.
He is the only known baseball player with 200+ hits, 200+ runs, 150+ RBI, and 100+ steals through his junior season in D-III history.
Senior first baseman
Noah Leib (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Township) and sophomore pitcher
Will Rettig (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg) were chosen as Fourth Team ABCA All-Americans.
Leib, who also earned honors on the Rawlings Gold Glove Team, picked up All-America honors. He finished second in the NCAC in hits (80), runs (63), doubles (23) and total bases (132) as he only trailed Colaco. Leib was third in RBI (57), fifth in triples (4) and fifth in OPS (1.108). Leib had a 6-for-6 effort at the plate in a game one win over Wooster on April 13. He sported a near perfect .998 field percentage while committing just one error in 440 chances this spring. He accounted for 416 putouts and added 23 assists.
Rettig posted a 9-1 record with a 3.23 ERA and a .225 opponents' batting average over 14 starts in 2024. He allowed 62 hits, 30 total runs, 27 earned runs and struck out a team-best 66 batters across his team-high 75.1 innings.

Peter Lemke for a conference-best nine wins. Rettig finished second in ERA, opponents' batting average and strikeouts. His 75.1 innings were the most among all NCAC hurlers. Rettig dazzled in Denison's 15-1 win over Hanover in the NCAA Regionals, as he allowed just one hit over seven shutout innings.
