TROY, N.Y. (Dec. 9) – Denison University first-year Charlotte Jones secured Women's Squash Performer of the Week honors when the Liberty League announced its weekly awards Monday afternoon. 
 
Jones compiled a 2-1 record while playing at the number one position during Denison's weekend trip to New England. 
 
Competing against Bates on Saturday, Jones earned the victory in the top spot in four games. After dropping the opening game by an 11-6 score, Jones responded with three-straight victories (11-7, 11-3 and 11-8) to secure the win. In Sunday's win versus Brown, Jones picked up the win in four games at No. 1. The first year won the first game by an 11-6 margin before falling 12-10 in the second. Jones finished off the victory with wins in the third and fourth. Jones breezed to an 11-3 win in the third before tallying an 11-6 victory in the fourth game. 
 
Jones has posted a 4-2 overall record while competing in the top spot this season.
 
Denison returns to competition in the New Year when they face Tufts University as part of their Winter Training Trip to San Diego.
