"The program has come a long way over the last five years," head coach Peter Grandbois commented. "This group of young athletes has been building momentum all season. They just keep getting better and better. I think this weekend marks a new era for Denison Fencing. They know now they can beat anyone. They believe it. They see it, and they're doing it. The loss to Boston College was a tough way to start the weekend, but they didn't let it stop them. They regrouped and came back even stronger. It's a pleasure for Coach Florencia and I to watch the way they support each other and push each other. There's no stopping them. I see great things from this team as they continue to push the limits of what they can achieve."

Standout performances came from all weapons, as it was a real team effort. Sophomore Corvus Endo was MVP and led the sabre squad with a 20-6 record. He was followed by junior Natalie Isberg with a 13-13 record. In foil, sophomore Lal Ertun was close behind, leading the squad with a 20-7 record for the weekend. She was followed by freshman Elly Kennedy with a 10-15 record. The epee squad took the squad MVP title for the weekend with full depth throughout the squad. Freshman Nicole Krumholz led the squad with a 19-9 record, followed closely by freshman Claire Anderson with a 17-11 record.
