WATERFORD, Conn. (Oct. 19) – The Denison University women's cross country returned to action at the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday. The event was held at Harkness Memorial State Park.
Fiona Martinelli led the way in the blue race for the Denison women. Martinelli finished with a personal-best time of 23:10.6.
Jane McNamara was next for Denison with a time of 23:39.
Floralysse Biteau and
Evie Sparks came in third and fourth, respectively, for Denison.
Biteau finished with a time of 24:13.1. while Sparks posted a personal-best time of 24:43.7.
Lexi Verdell timed in at 25:16.9 while
Lulu Visocky-O'Grady came across at 27:17.5.
Denison finished in 29th place at the meet.
The team now will turn its attention to the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships on Sunday, Nov. 3. The event will be held at the LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Ind.
