GRANVILLE, Ohio (April 29, 2023) – With its 29-2 win over Wabash College on Senior Day on Saturday, the No. 14 nationally-ranked Denison University men's lacrosse team officially secured a share of its fourth straight and 21st overall North Coast Athletic Conference regular-season championship. It was also the second straight regular-season championship for the Big Red in the first two years of Head Coach
Eric Koch's tenure leading the program.

Denison scored 10 goals in the first quarter and led 11-0 before the first goal from the Little Giants.
Walsh (4 goals, 1 assist) and
Nate Kay (3 goals, 2 assists) both led the Big Red with five points while
Tommy Quinson (3 goals, 1 assist), Tyack (3 goals, 1 assist),
Macky Peck (3 goals, 1 assist) and
Nate Podolsky (2 goals, 2 assists) each had four points.
O'Donnell (1 goal, 2 assists) had at least one goal and one assist for the seventh game in a row while
Lawton Corrigan had his first two-goal performance since March 29 vs. Transylvania and
Colin Donegan (1 goal, 2 assist) had a career-high three points.
Edelstein and Clayton both finished with one goal and one assist during their Senior Day while Kenney had two goals and one assist. Walsh, meanwhile, also added four groundballs and a caused turnover in addition to his five points while Pappas had one goal and two groundballs; Brim finished with three groundballs; Maynard, Flynn and Baur each had one groundball and one caused turnover; and Kasun had one groundball.
Grant Larson won 13 of his 14 faceoffs and had eight groundballs while
Colin MacLean was a perfect 14-for-14 with seven groundballs.
Denison was also able to play all four of its goalkeepers for the second time this week as
Andrew Albert led the group with three saves in his 18-plus minutes.
The Big Red finished up the regular season 14-3 overall, 7-1 in the NCAC, 8-1 at home, and with seven wins in a row. It was a three-team tie atop the NCAC standings this season between Denison, Kenyon College (14-1, 7-1) and Ohio Wesleyan University (12-4, 7-1). In addition, Denison and OWU remain tied with the most regular-season men's lacrosse titles in the history of the North Coast Athletic Conference.
Next up, top-seeded Denison will host the NCAC Tournament Semifinals at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 4. Their opponent will be the fourth-seed, which is still to be determined following the end of the regular season on Saturday night.

Barrett Baur has appeared in 16 games in his career, including seven as a senior, and has totaled seven groundballs and six caused turnovers. Baur is a two-time member of the NCAC Academic Honor Roll and he was a 2021-22 Denison Chi Alpha Sigma inductee.
Andrew Brim has played in 46 games in his career, including 15 games as a senior, and has collected eight goals, six assists, 83 groundballs and 14 caused turnovers. So far as a senior, he has recorded career-highs in goals with five and in groundballs with 37.
Douglas Brooks has played in 44 games in his career, including starting in all 16 games as a senior. He has scored four goals and collected two assists, 85 groundballs and 38 caused turnovers overall. This season he has recorded career-highs with 36 groundballs and 28 caused turnovers. Brooks will be both a three-time member of the NCAC Academic Honor Roll and a three-time Denison Top-50 Student-Athlete this year. He is also a 2021-22 Denison Chi Alpha Sigma inductee.
Tommy Clayton has appeared in five games with two starts this season, and had two goals and one assist during Denison's 14-10 win over St. Mary's College of Maryland on March 14.
Archer Darrach has started in 33 of 37 games in his career, including starting in all but one of 32 games at goalie over the last two seasons. He has totaled 324 saves and 61 groundballs while sporting a career 27-5 record and a career .570 save percentage. As a senior, he is 13-3 with a career-high 163 saves and a .576 save percentage. Darrach was named Second-Team All-NCAC as a junior in 2022 and was named a Preseason Honorable Mention All-American by USA Lacrosse Magazine entering the 2023 season. As a senior, he was named to the USILA Team of the Week on February 21 after making a career-high 19 saves to go along with a .792 save percentage during Denison's 15-5 season-opening win at Baldwin Wallace University, and was named the NCAC Athlete of the Week on March 20 after making 15 saves and finishing with a .625 save percentage and eight groundballs in a 10-9 upset win over No. 2-ranked Gettysburg College.
Reid Edelstein has played in 33 games in his career, including 15 as a senior. Edelstein has collected 11 goals, nine assists and 16 groundballs overall, and has career-highs of six goals and four assists so far this season. He has dished two assists in a game three times and scored a career-high two goals during Denison's 27-1 win at home over Hiram on April 26, 2022.
Brendan Flynn has appeared in 33 games overall and has played in 13 games while also making his first career start this year as a senior. He has recorded 20 groundballs and 12 caused turnovers in his career, and had career-highs of nine groundballs and six caused turnovers as a junior in 2022.
Zach Kasun has appeared in 29 games in his career, starting all 10 games as a sophomore in 2021 and playing in all 16 games so far as a senior. He has totaled 20 groundballs and 21 caused turnovers in his career, and has posted a career-best 11 groundballs so far this season.
Will Kenney has played in 45 games with 29 starts in his career, and started all 21 games as a junior in 2022 en route to being named Second-Team All-NCAC after recording 27 goals, eight assists, 29 groundballs and six caused turnovers. For his career, Kenney has totaled 62 goals, 15 assists, 49 groundballs, 12 caused turnovers and five hat tricks.
Grant Maynard has played in 46 games, including starting in all 37 games over the last two seasons. He has totaled 53 groundballs and 22 caused turnovers in his career, including career-highs of 28 groundballs and 11 caused turnovers so far this season. He was named Second-Team All-NCAC as a junior in 2022 after starting in all 21 games and recording 19 groundballs and nine caused turnovers. He is also a two-time member of the NCAC Academic Honor Roll and was a 2021-22 Denison Chi Alpha Sigma inductee.
Quinn O'Donnell has appeared in 40 games, including playing in all 16 games as a senior. He has scored 32 goals and added 13 assists and 24 groundballs in his career, has totaled career-highs of 14 goals and nine assists so far this season, and notched his first-career hat trick while also recording a career-high four points during Denison's 19-6 at home over Oberlin earlier this month (Apr. 11).
Gavin Pappas has played in 41 games with 30 starts, including starting in 13 of his 14 games played as a senior. He has scored 38 goals and added nine assists and 29 groundballs in his career. As a junior, Pappas recorded career-highs of 22 goals, seven assists and 17 groundballs, and scored four goals in a 16-9 win at Oberlin on April 12, 2022. He is a two-time member of the NCAC Academic Honor Roll and was a 2021-22 Denison Chi Alpha Sigma inductee.
Ethan Tyack has started in each of his 41 career games. His 192 career points ranks 10th in program history while his 101 career goals are tied for 19th. Tyack was named First-Team All-NCAC in 2022 after finishing second on the team with 38 goals and 39 assists. He has scored three or more goals in a game five times as a senior, has 17 career hat tricks, and has recorded eight points in a game twice in his career. He is also a two-time member of the NCAC Academic Honor Roll and was a 2021-22 Denison Chi Alpha Sigma inductee.
