GREENCASTLE, Ind. (April 19, 2023) – The Denison University men's lacrosse team shutout the Tigers for the first three quarters and defeated DePauw University 17-3 on the road on Wednesday night to remain as one of three teams sitting atop the North Coast Athletic Conference standings with just one conference loss.

Denison (10-3 overall, 4-1 NCAC) was methodical in the first half, scoring four goals in each of the first two quarters by seven different players and outshooting DePauw (6-7, 1-4) 39-5, including 21-0 in the first quarter, and holding them to without a groundball in the opening 15 minutes.

The Big Red defense also limited the Tigers to just 6-for-14 on clears in the first half to go along with 17 turnovers.

Luke Fisher had the assist on three of Denison's first six goals, including on goals by Quinn O'Donnell and Clyde Bresnahan both in the first minute and a half of the second quarter.

Quinson scored his fourth goal of the third quarter to make it 14-0 with four minutes left in the period, and then sophomore Will Bennett scored his first-career goal to make it 15-0 in the first minute and a half of the fourth quarter before the Tigers finally scored to avoid the shutout.
