No. 26 women’s tennis earns fourth win in a row

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (March 5, 2023) – The No. 26 Denison University women's tennis team earned an 8-1 win on the road at Kalamazoo College in what was the Big Red's final match before their Spring Break trip to the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Florida.

Sydney Cianciola and Sarah Robertson won 8-1 at No. 1 doubles and were followed by wins of 8-3 by Kendall Schrader and Peyton Oda and No. 3 doubles and 8-4 by Monique Brual and Caroline Lopez at No. 2 doubles.

Oda then started off singles with a 6-4, 6-4 win in the No. 2 spot before Lopez clinched it with a 6-2, 6-2 win in the three hole.

Elizabeth Hoo (No. 4 singles), Hannah Quick (No. 5 singles) and Alessandra Ceccarelli (No. 6 singles) all won by scores of 6-2, 6-0.

Denison improved to 4-2 on the season with its 17th straight win against Kalamazoo (1-4).

Next Up, Denison will begin its Spring Break action at the USTA National Campus against North Central College and SUNY Oneonta on Monday, March 13.
