Men’s lacrosse wraps up undefeated home record during regular season

GRANVILLE, Ohio (April 26, 2022) – The Denison University men's lacrosse team defeated Hiram College 27-1 on Tuesday night inside Deeds Field-Piper Stadium to finish a perfect 8-0 when playing at home during the 2022 regular season.

Overall, it was the 25th consecutive home win for Denison (12-4 overall, 8-0 North Coast Athletic Conference) dating back to March 30, 2019.

Additionally with the win, the Big Red have now clinched at least a share of the NCAC regular-season championship, and are locked into the No. 1 seed for the NCAC Tournament after owning the tiebreaker over both Kenyon College and Ohio Wesleyan University.

For Denison, it was their third game in a row with 26 or more goals, and was their third in a row with exactly 42 points (goals + assists). Their 67 shots and 48 shots on goals were their second most all season behind only their last game, while their 58 groundballs were also their second most and their 15 caused turnovers were a new season-high.

It was a balanced effort as Luke Fisher led the way in the scoring column with four goals while Camden Bowdy matched him with four points (2 goals, 2 assists).
