GRANVILLE, Ohio (April 23, 2022) – The Denison University men's lacrosse team hosted Allegheny College for its Senior Day on Saturday as the Big Red cruised to a 28-0 shutout victory over the Gators while also recognizing seven players during the pregame festivities.

Sean Bailey is a senior co-captain and defensive midfielder who has played in 44 career games. Including his assist and two groundballs during Senior Day, he has recorded six goals, five assists, 84 groundballs and 11 caused turnovers in his career. Bailey scored the first goal of his senior season earlier this week during Denison's win over DePauw.
Michael Bomes is two-time captain and defensive midfielder who has played in 36 career games. He has registered 54 groundballs, including one on Saturday, and 16 caused turnovers in his career. He was named to the all-region team and was first-team all-conference in 2019 after appearing in all 21 games and leading all Big Red midfielders with 36 groundballs and 10 caused turnovers while also adding six goals and five assists.
Camden Bowdy is a senior co-captain and attackman who has made 43 starts in 50 career games. After scoring three goals during his Senior Day, his eighth hat trick in his last nine games, Bowdy has now amassed 69 goals, 72 assists and 36 groundballs in his career. In addition to starting all 15 games, Bowdy has recorded a career-high 39 goals, 30 assists, 23 groundballs, and four caused turnovers so far this season. In 2021, he was named to the All-NCAC West Team and was an Honorable Mention All-American after starting in all 10 games and finishing with 17 goals and a team-high 23 assists, including setting a Denison single-game record with 12 assists against Wabash on April 6th. During Denison's most recent game against DePauw, he finished with a career-high seven goals and added four assists for a total of 11 points, only one point shy of the Denison program record for points that he matched the previous season. In 2019, he was named Honorable Mention all-conference after starting in 16 of 21 games as a rookie and totaling nine goals and 18 assists.
Davis Cronin is a faceoff player who in 25 career games, has scored three goals while recording 139 groundballs and winning 273 of 379 faceoffs. During his Senior Day, Cronin finished a perfect 16-for-16 on faceoffs and added a career-high 12 groundballs.
Will Filiault is a defensive midfielder who has now played in 23 games in his career and has totaled four goals, two assists, 33 groundballs and nine caused turnovers. During his Senior Day, he finished with two groundballs and a caused turnover while also taking one shot.
Joey Rochte is a two-time captain and defender who has started in 44 of 48 games in his career, including all 15 games so far this season. He has recorded 62 groundballs and 36 caused turnovers in his career, and had two groundballs while earning the start on his Senior Day. He was named to the All-NCAC West Team in 2021 after starting all 10 games and causing a team-high 11 turnovers to go along with 14 groundballs.
Lastly,
TJ Spahn is a goalkeeper who has appeared in 22 games in his career and has recorded 110 saves with a record of 8-4. He logged 50 saves in five games this season.
Among the non-seniors in action on Saturday, sophomore
Luke Fisher led Denison with three goals and four assists on the day while junior
Will Kenney added a hat trick and six other Big Red players had two goals.

Archer Darrach (9-1) finished with seven saves in his 45 minutes.
In addition to securing its first shutout since a 23-0 win over Hendrix in its 2008 season opener, Denison's 28 goals were a new season-high, as were their 73 total shots, 53 shots on goal, and 30 faceoff wins.
In what was the first-ever matchup between Denison and Allegheny, the Big Red improved to 11-4 overall, 7-0 both at home and in the North Coast Athletic Conference, and are now on a six-game winning streak. Allegheny, meanwhile, dropped to 4-11 and 2-5.
Next up, Denison will host its final home game of the regular-season against Hiram College starting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, before wrapping up the regular season at Wittenberg University at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, in Springfield, Ohio.
