ORLANDO, Fla. (March 14, 2022) – The No. 20 Denison University women's tennis team started off its Spring Break trip to Orlando, Florida, with a 7-2 loss against North Central College on Monday at the Lake Cane Tennis Center.
 
Notable Results:
Doubles

• Denison's lone win in doubles came in the No. 1 spot where Sydney Cianciola and Sarah Robertson won 8-4.

Singles

• The first singles match to finish was at No. 2 singles where Robertson won 6-4, 6-2, but that would be the Big Red's lone win in singles action.
• Monique Brual forced three sets in the final singles match to end at No. 3 singles, but fell 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (10-8).
• At No. 1 singles, Cianciola lost 6-4, 6-2.

 
Records:

• After what was the first ever match between the two teams, No. 20 Denison drops to 4-2 while North Central improves to an impressive 16-1.

 
Next Up: On day two of its Spring Break trip, Denison will battle Hillsborough Community College in a scrimmage at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15.
