WOOSTER, Ohio (February 27, 2022) – Only one day after suffering its first loss of the season in a matchup between two top-12 nationally-ranked teams, the No. 12 Denison University women's tennis team earned a 7-2 win at the College of Wooster in its first road match of the 2022 season.
 
Notable Results:
Doubles

• Sydney Cianciola and Sarah Robertson started things off with an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles, followed by an 8-1 win at No. 3 doubles by Kendall Schrader and Hannah Bradvica.
• Monique Brual and Caroline Lopez then finished off the sweep of the doubles action with an 8-2 win in the No. 2 spot.

Singles

• Cianciola claimed the first singles win 6-0, 6-1 in the two spot, and then Robertson was victorious 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles to clinch the team victory.
• Schrader won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6 singles, and then Lopez earned Denison's final win of the day 6-3, 6-2 at No. 5 singles.
• At No. 4 singles, Brual lost in a third set super tiebreaker 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (14-12).

 
Records:

• No. 12 Denison improved to 2-1 on the season and is now 47-0 all-time against Wooster, which dropped to 3-4.

 
Next Up: Denison will return home to host yet another nationally-ranked team, this time playing No. 32 Hope College at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 5. The next day on Sunday, March 6, the Big Red will host Kalamazoo College at 10 a.m.
