WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 13, 2022) – The No. 31 Denison University women's squash team played in its final two regular-season matches of the 2021-22 season this weekend, but came up short 9-0 at No. 22 Dickinson College on the evening of Friday, February 11, inside the Kline Squash Center before also falling 9-0 at No. 25 Georgetown University on the morning of Saturday, February 12, at Squash on Fire in the District.
It was Senior Night for Dickinson, which took all nine matches by a score of 3-0. Denison's regular-season finale was its second matchup this season against the Hoyas after it was Georgetown which won 7-2 back on November 14 in Annapolis, Maryland. Denison received victories from
Kaylee Hunt (No. 1 seed) and
Antoinette Ramsey (No. 2 seed) on that day, but this time around, the closest the Big Red got to forcing a fourth set was when Ramsey took her opponent to a score of 13-11 in set number three in the one seed.
Denison concludes its 2021-22 regular season with a record of 1-6, and with the postseason up next, the Big Red will prep for the start of the College Squash Association National Championships, scheduled for February 25-27 in Boston, Massachusetts.
