Carpenter finished with 18 points and 14 rebounds to record the fourth double-double of her junior season and her third in five conference games. Goodman was next with 15 points while Elliott and Warcaba both finished with a career-high seven rebounds
The Big Red did win the rebounding battle 49-37 overall and 17-12 on the offensive glass as five players had five or more boards, but the Big Red also turned the ball over 21 times compared to only 10 turnovers for Oberlin, leading to an 18-5 advantage on points off turnovers for the Yeowoman.
It was the end of a three-game winning streak for the Big Red, who fell to 5-7 overall and 3-2 in the North Coast Athletic Conference while Oberlin improved to an impressive 11-1 overall and 5-1 in the league.
Next up, Denison will look to rebound at home against Allegheny College on Monday, January 17, at 5 p.m. inside Livingston Gymnasium. It will be the Big Red's first home game of 2022 as they look to win their third straight game in their home confines.
