  • Wooster took a 4-2 lead in the fifth but Denison answered with sacrifice flies in the sixth and seventh to tie the game at 4-4.

Game 2
  • Wooster survived to live another day by loading the bases to start the 10th inning. Ben Hines lifted a fly ball to center field that scored Dominic Stilliana with the game-winning run.

  • In the bottom of the eighth Wooster rallied with two runs on two hits to pull even at 6-6.
  • Wooster put the potential winning run on third base after a wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth. An intentional walk created the force out at second and it came in handy as Gabe Sherman hit a grounder to Max Lahn who stepped on second base to get out of the jam.
  • In the top of the 10th it was Denison's turn to put the potential go-ahead run on third but a ground out to third squashed that threat.
