Box Score 2 GRANVILLE, Ohio – Denison volleyball suffered their first two losses of the spring season on Saturday, falling to Ohio Wesleyan in the first match, 3-2, before taking a 3-1 loss in the second match of the day at Livingston Gymnasium in Granville.
- In the first match, Denison won the first set, 25-20, before falling in the second set, 25-21. The Big Red rebounded in the third set, 25-20, but then dropped the next two sets, 25-23 and 15-9.
- In the second match, the Big Red came out swinging with a 25-20 win in the first set, but the Bishops responded with three-straight set victories, 25-18, 25-22, 25-18, to close out the match.
- Ohio Wesleyan moved to 7-0 with both wins while Denison dropped to 2-2 with the losses.
- Prior to the start of the first match, the Big Red honored their three seniors, Emma Woerner, Katie Kerrigan, and Kaila Kasper, for all of their hard work and commitment to the Denison volleyball program over the last four years.
The Big Red will return to action next Friday, April 9 when they travel to Springfield, Ohio to close out their spring season with a doubleheader at Wittenberg. The first match will begin at 5 p.m., with the second match to follow at approximately 7 p.m.
