SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Wittenberg's Kristie Kalis posted a game-high 27 points and Abigail Yunker followed with 26 as the Tigers handed the Big Red a 76-56 loss on Friday night at Pam Evans Smith Arena in Springfield.

While Denison was able to secure 31 points off the bench and kept their deficit to 13, 41-28, at the break, the Tigers finished the game shooting 28-of-50 (56%) while tallying 32 points in the paint and outscoring DU 25-8 in the third quarter. The win moved Wittenberg to 4-3 overall while the Big Red dropped to 2-5 in 2021.

Kalis' 27 points came on 10-of-12 shooting and 7-of-7 from three. She also added six rebounds and two assists. Yunker went 10-of-15 from the floor for 26 points with seven assists and three rebounds. Freshman Francesca Sileo led the Big Red with a career-high 10 points off the bench, including a 2-of-3 effort from the perimeter. Sophomore Natalie Hutras followed with eight points, while Camm Mack and Ava Warcaba each tallied seven points. Mack also chipped in eight boards.

Denison and Wittenberg will square off again this Saturday, March 6 when the Big Red return home to Livingston Gym for a 4 p.m. tip-off with the Tigers.
