GRANVILLE, Ohio (October 9, 2021) – The Denison University men's soccer team lost 2-0 at home against Kenyon College on Saturday night on Barclay-Thomsen Field.
Kenyon scored a little bit past 16 minutes into the match and then doubled up its lead in the final minute before halftime.
Cameron McIntosh was the only Big Red player with two shots and one shot on goal while six others had one shot.
Stuart Windell had the only other shot on goal.
Denison did outshoot Kenyon 5-4 in the second half, and had both of its shots on goal in the second half. Windell had a shot saved in the 49th minute, and then McIntosh had one saved in the 88th minute.
Denison fell to 5-4-1 overall and 1-2 in the North Coast Athletic Conference while Kenyon won its eighth match in a row to improve to 8-1 and 3-0. The Big Red have not defeated the Lords since 2011, a stretch that now reaches nine matches in a row.

Brandon Bianco said, "Congrats to Kenyon. They're the best team in the region for the last 5-7 years for a reason. However, I'm proud of our guys and we did a lot of good things. We need to clean up some critical moments and we're moving forward to the new week."
Denison will try to rebound next time out as the Big Red wrap up a four-match homestand with Wabash College at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13.
