SPRINGFIELD, Ohio-- No. 27 Denison women's tennis posted a 9-0 win over Wittenberg to improve to 10-8 overall and 2-0 in North Coast Athletic Conference West Division play.
Denison head coach Jamie Scott was able to get first-year's Susan Biederstedt and Hannah Bradvica into the singles lineup along with sophomore Devin Gramley. All three posted convincing straight-set wins. Gramley defeated Harunya Ravindran, 6-1, 7-5 at No. 4. Bradvica topped Sarah Wilke, 6-2, 6-0 and Biederstedt downed Josie Paazig, 6-0, 6-3.
At No. 3, Megan Hickey defeated Alivia Livesay, 6-2, 6-2 while Lauren Hawley and Emma Alsup prevailed at first and second singles, respectively.
Alsup and Hawley also improved to 17-7 on the season with an 8-1 doubles victory. The remaining doubles points went to Gramley and Bradvica at No. 3 and Hannah Cianciola and Hickey at No. 2.
Denison returns to conference divisional play on Saturday when they host DePauw at 10 a.m.
