Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Ohio-- Denison traveled to Wittenberg searching for its first-ever North Coast Athletic Conference championship on Tuesday night but the Tigers were not quite ready to relinquish their stranglehold on the league. Wittenberg clinched the NCAC Championship and the top-seed in next weekend's conference tournament with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-14) win over the Big Red.
Denison was led by Lucy Anderson's eight kills and Emma Woerner's seven kills. The Big Red were plagued by 17 attack errors and hit .062. Wittenberg also struggled offensively with 17 errors and a .185 attack percentage. Katie Hiestand led the Tigers with 18 kills on 58 attacks.
Taylor Yontz had 26 digs and Aubrey Cox led Wittenberg with five blocks.
Denison got 22 assists from Sophie Tight and 17 digs from Payton McElfresh. Jenna Corrao added 16 digs for the Big Red (17-7, 6-2 NCAC).
