Box Score 2 DELAWARE, Ohio-- The Big Red volleyball team went 2-2 at the 2016 Bishop Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University. Denison opened Saturday with a 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-19) setback against Adrian, but salvaged a split with a five-set victory (23-25, 25-16, 21-25, 25-21, 15-8) over Westminster.
Against the Bulldogs, senior Sarah Bradley had a team-high nine kills, while Leah Reinfranck and Rachele Lock chipped seven apiece. Bradley also served up two aces, while Julia Miller handed out 26 assists. Kristin Thewes led the defense with 12 digs, while Reinfranck and Lock each had a block assist.
In the win over Westminster, Reinfranck led the way with 15 kills while hitting .306. Lock added 12 kills and Miller finished with a season-high 41 assists. In the four matches at Ohio Wesleyan, Reinfranck finished with 47 kills while posting a stellar .333 hitting percentage.
At the conclusion of the tournament, Lock was named to the All-Tournament team.
Denison (4-9) returns to action on Tuesday when they travel to Tiffin, Ohio to take on Heidelberg University. Match time is slated for 7 p.m.
