The Denison volleyball team suffered a 3-0 (30-28, 25-14, 25-17) setback at Ohio Northern University on Tuesday evening from the ONU Sports Center in Ada, Ohio.

After winning a back-and-forth opening set, the Polar Bears were able to pick up victories in the ensuing sets to secure the victory. Junior Leah Reinfranck paced the DU attack with 12 kills, while senior Rachele Lock added nine finishers. Kaileigh Poe dished out 23 assists and served up three assists. Defensively, juniors Kristin Thewes and Kristen Brennan both posted double-digit digs. Thewes had a team-high 18, while Brennan finished with 14 digs.

Denison (2-7) will look to end its current skid this weekend at the 2016 Bishop Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University. The Big Red will open the invitational against Grove City College on Friday at 5 p.m.
