WOOSTER, Ohio—Denison closed out the 2016 regular season with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-19) loss to Case Western Reserve from Timken Gymnasium at the College of Wooster.

The Big Red was led in kills by Rachele Lock who finished with nine of 25 total attacks.  Kristin Thewes finished with 13 digs and Kaileigh Poe led Denison with nine assists.

The Spartans (19-8) got 10 kills from Brianna Lemon and nine from Karley King.

Denison (11-15) will take the court next Friday, Nov. 4 as the No. 6 seed in the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament.  They will take on third-seeded Kenyon in the quarterfinal round at 4 p.m. in Springfield, Ohio.  Top-seeded Wittenberg is serving as the host of the tournament.
