Box Score The Denison volleyball team suffered a 3-0 (25-12, 25-22, 25-22) setback at DePauw on Saturday afternoon from the Neal Fieldhouse in Greencastle, Ind.
Senior Elena Lein and junior Rachele Lock paced the Big Red offense with eight kills apiece, while Brittany Perry and Leah Reinfranck had five finishers each. Sophomore setter Kaileigh Poe dished out 22 assists, while Reinfranck and Lock served up DU's two aces.
Sophomore libero Kristin Thewes paced the defense with 26 digs, while Reinfranck finished with four blocks, including two solo rejections. Perry, Lein and Kenzie Kuhn also added two block assists each.
Lauren Falotico finished with a match-high 13 kills, while Suzanne Peters added 11. Faith Rolwes ended the day with 36 assists, three aces and two solo blocks, while Brekiesha Weszely also served up three aces. Keely McGrath paced the Tigers with 20 digs, while Falotico and Nicole Burge both had two block assists.
Denison falls to 12-10 on the year and 4-3 in the NCAC, while DePauw improves to 16-7 and 5-2 in the league. The Big Red will close out North Coast Athletic Conference play on Tuesday when they host Oberlin at 7 p.m.
