Box Score The Big Red won its 17th match of the 2012 season while improving to 4-3 in the North Coast Athletic Conference after a 3-0 (25-14, 25-12, 25-17) win over visiting Ohio Wesleyan University. The victory secured the No. 4 seed in the NCAC Tournament on Nov. 2-3.
Elena Lein posted 11 kills while hitting at a .474 clip. Brittany Perry paced the team with 12 kills off 30 attacks. She also added seven digs and two aces.
Kenzie Kuhn led the team with five blcks to go along with her three kills and three digs. Starting libero, Emily Marguerite finished with 18 digs while Jessica Borsani dished out 36 assists. Annemarie Fischer chipped in six kills for DU.
Ohio Wesleyan was led by Megan Weissenberger's 10 kills. Danielle Birney had 11 digs and Brittany Vickers finished with 22 assists.
The match marked the final regular season home game of the 2012 season for the Big Red. They return to action on Saturday with a 4 p.m. clash with Kenyon College.
