The Denison University Big Red dropped their final two matches at the North Coast Athletic Conference Volleyball Weekend hosted by Hiram College.  DU suffered a 3-0 (25-23, 25-12, 25-13) setback to Wooster, and fell in straight-sets (25-9, 25-21, 27-25) to the host Terriers.

Against the Scots, junior Lauren Strowder (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) paced the Big Red attack with eight kills, while Claire Koneval (Solon, Ohio/Solon) dished out 24 assists.  Defensively, senior Lauren Weidner (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) notched 24 digs, and first-year Madison Owen (Novi, Mich./Northville) blocked two shots.

Against Hiram, Strowder logged six kills and Koneval finished with 24 helpers.  Weidner posted 33 digs to pace the DU defense, while Owen recorded four blocks.

Denison (3-13, 1-3 NCAC) returns to the court on Wendesday (Sept. 29) when Muskingum University rolls into Granville.  Match time from Livingston Gymnasium is slated for 7 p.m.
