The Denison University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision (25-14, 25-13, 25-23) to Otterbein University on Wednesday evening in Westerville, Ohio.

Junior Lauren Strowder (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) paced the Big Red attack with seven kills, while classmate Claire Koneval (Solon, Ohio/Solon) dished out 21 assists.  Defensively, senior Lauren Weidner (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) recorded 12 digs, while junior Megan Early (Findlay, Ohio/Van Buren) blocked three shots.

Denison falls to 0-1 on the year, while the Cardinals improves to 1-0.  DU returns to the court this weekend when they take part in the River City Classic hosted by Marietta College.  The Big Red opens the tournament on Friday (Sept. 3) against the host Pioneers.  Match time is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
