The Denison Big Red notched their fourth consecutive victory and closed out North Coast Athletic Conference play a perfect 3-0 following a 9-0 win over Wittenberg University on Tuesday in Granville.

Seeing their first doubles action since March 17, the duo of senior Marta Drane (Wilmington, Del./Tower Hill) and junior Kristin Cobb (Dayton, Ohio/Oakwood) posted an 8-2 victory at the first flight.  Senior Kara Zdanowski (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) and sophomore Erin Chadwell (Chicago, Ill./Traverse City Central) captured an 8-4 decision at second doubles, while rookies Jane Lent (Glenview, Ill./Cranbrook-Kingswood) and Alex Marcell (Chicago, Ill./Loyola Academy) edged Sean Delaney and Maggie Stewart, 8-6, at No. 3 doubles.

In singles competition, Sarah Short (Cheswick, Pa./Fox Chapel), Kate Westenberger (York, Pa./Dallastown), Lent and Courtney Steiner (Fishers, Ind./Heritage Christian) all improved their record at first, second, third and fifth singles, respectively, to 2-0, while senior Maggie Colvin (Pepper Pike, Ohio/Orange) and Elizabeth Emhardt (Carmel, Ind./Park Tudor School) upped their records at No. 4 and No. 6 singles to 3-0.  All six singles competitors won in straight sets.
