The eighth-ranked Tigers of Wittenberg University remained undefeated in the North Coast Athletic Conference following a 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-7) victory over the Denison volleyball team on Wednesday evening in Granville.

In the absence of sophomore Lauren Strowder who did not dress due to illness, sophomore Kristen Hughes (Downington, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) paced the DU attack with five kills.  Claire Koneval (Solon, Ohio/Solon) dished off 19 assists, while senior captain Holly Leonard (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Township) recorded 17 digs.

The loss dropped Denison to 5-17 overall and 4-4 in NCAC action, while Wittenberg improves to 14-3 on the year and 10-0 in the conference.  The Big Red return to action this weekend when they travel to Earlham College for an NCAC Power Weekend.  The squad opens play on Saturday at 10 a.m. against league rival Ohio Wesleyan.
