The Denison University volleyball team suffered a 3-1 (25-15, 17-25, 25-17, 25-23) setback to the Yeowomen over Oberlin College on Saturday afternoon. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak and dropped the Big Red's record to 5-16 overall and 4-3 in the North Coast Athletic Conference.
Pacing the offensive attack for DU was sophomore Lauren Strowder (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) who had 15 kills, while classmate Claire Koneval (Solon, Ohio/Solon) handed out 41 assists. Defensively, senior Holly Leonard (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Township) finished the match with 24 digs.
Denison returns to action on Wednesday (Oct. 14) when they host Wittenberg University at Livingston Gymnasium. Match time is slated for 7 p.m.
