Daniel Doan enters his second year as a volunteer assistant coach for the Denison women's tennis program in 2020-21.

Prior to coming to Granville, Doan served three seasons as head coach for both the men’s and women’s tennis programs at Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Mount Vernon, Ohio. Doan, a 2016 graduate with a degree in communications from MVNU, was tabbed the first head coach in the new era of the men’s and women’s tennis programs. Additionally, Doan has been an active member of the USTA (United States Tennis Association) for the past eight years and is also an associate instructor for the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR).

Doan was also a standout player at Triway High School in Wooster, Ohio, where he was an All-Conference honoree all four years of his prep career. He is third on the all-time career wins list in school history and helped guide his team to the most single-season wins in Triway history. 

He currently resides in Granville with his wife, Elizabeth, and daughter, Josephine.
