2015 (Senior): Named second-team All-NCAC ... started 34 games in four different positions ... led the team in batting average (.341), slugging percentage (.457), runs (42), hits (44) and total bases (59) ... posted a team-best 13 multi-hit games, highlighted by a 4-for-5 outing in a win over UMass-Boston (March 20) ... drove in three runs on three sperate occasions ... also stole seven bases this season ... named NCAC Hitter of the Week (March 23) after hitting .577 with 15 hits, a .923 slugging percentage and a .633 on-base percentage in seven starts.
2014 (Junior): Second-team All-NCAC ... Started 38 of 41 games in the outfield, including 31 starts in center ... hit .351 with nine doubles, four triples and three home runs ... also had a .527 slugging and a .439 on-base percentage ... led the team with 52 hits and 14 stolen bases to go along with 21 RBIs and a team-high tying 36 runs ... tied for second in the NCAC in triples, tied for fifth in stolen bases, tied for eighth in total bases (78) and tied for ninth in hits ... led the Big Red with 18 multiple-hit games and was second on the squad with six multiple-RBI performances ... will enter his senior year riding an eight-game hitting streak ... posted two of his five three-hit performances against DePauw (April 23 & May 9) ... scored three times on three difference occasions.
2013 (Sophomore): Appeared in 20 games, making seven starts in the corner outfield spots ... hit .306 with five runs scored and eight RBIs ... hit first collegiate home run in a 4-2 victory at DePauw on March 30 ... went 3-for-6 with two runs scored and three RBIs in a win over John Carroll on April 3.
2012 (Freshman): Played in 14 games, including three infield starts ... logged his first-collegiate hit and stolen base against Capital (March 29) ... scored twice in an 11-6 win over Ohio Northern (April 10).
Personal: Economics major ... son of Jose Raul Montes and Laura Rodriguez ... sister, Laura, was a sychronized swimmer at Wheaton College (Mass.) ... earned 11 varsity letters in four sports (baseball, soccer, basketball, swimming) at Perkiomen School.
