The seeds and pairings for the 2023 Granville Regional are as follows:

After winning its fourth straight North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament title, Denison has earned the top seed in the 2023 Granville Regional, which will be played this weekend, May 19-21, at the Big Red Baseball Field in Granville, Ohio.

Denison will open play in the tournament on Friday at 11:00 a.m. against fourth-seeded Beloit. In the other opening-round game on Friday, second-seeded Baldwin Wallace will square off against third-seeded Spalding at 2:30 p.m.

The double-elimination tournament continues into Saturday morning with the losers of the first two contests squaring off at 11:00 a.m. in an elimination game while the winners of the first two games will meet at 2:30 p.m. with a slot in the championship round on the line.  

The final slot in the championship round will be determined Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m. with the winner of game three taking on the loser of game four. The first championship game will be played Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with game seven set for 45 minutes following the conclusion of game six if necessary.

Denison baseball selected to host second straight NCAA Regional Championship
With four straight North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament Championships under its belt after this weekend, the Denison University baseball team will now look to bring home its first NCAA Regional Championship in program history as the Big Red were selected to serve as a host institution for the NCAA Division III Baseball Regionals for the second year in a row. The Big Red earned the NCAC's automatic bid to regionals for the fourth year in a row, and will now compete in the NCAA Tournament for the fifth year in a row after doing so for the first time in program history in 2018. Denison, currently ranked No. 11 in the 2023 D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25 Poll, will bring a 34-8 overall record into regionals

Baldwin Wallace earns at-large bid
Announced via the NCAA selection show on May 15th, BW (31-10) receives one of 17 at-large bids to this year's tournament. The Yellow Jackets will take on St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champions Spalding (Ky.) University on Friday, May 19th. Spalding enters the regional with a 34-10 overall record. BW is led by senior All-OAC first baseman Alexis Castillo led the team in batting average and home runs. He is also tied for the team led with 42 RBIs. Sophomore All-OAC infielder Sean Kolenich  leads the squad with 72 hits and has scored 42 runs with 37 RBIs. Senior All-OAC outfielder Vincent Capolup leads the team with 43 runs and 13 stolen bases. Senior All-OAC right-handed Garrett Miller led the team with an 8.0 record and a 3.57 earned run average (ERA). In 70.2 innings pitched he has tallied 73 strikeouts and held hitters to a .229 batting average. Senior All-OAC left-handed pitcher Nik Baldis posted a 6-4 record with a 3.66 ERA and two complete games and a shutout. In 59 innings, he 47 strikeouts and .247 batting average.

From Elimination Bracket to Champions
Spalding baseball beat a familiar foe in Webster University twice to take home the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Tournament Championship. It is the first SLIAC Tournament title in the program's history.

Beloit scheduled to play at Denison
Beloit enters the NCAA Tournament with a school record 31 wins on the season. Their 31-12 overall record includes an 11-game winning streak, which was the fourth-longest streak in Division-III at the time it ended. The Bucs enter this weekend's tournament winners of six of their last seven games, including an MWC Tournament Championship. Beloit leads the MWC in virtually every offensive category this season, including batting average (.339), which also ranks 19th in D-III, runs scored (411), which is 15th in the country, hits (500), which ranks 18th in D-III, doubles (101), home runs (52), which is 16th in the nation, RBI (364), total bases (777), slugging percentage (.526), which ranks 15th in D-III, walks (215), and on-base percentage (.438), while also leading the league in fielding percentage (.966). On the mound, Beloit led the conference in wins (31), shutouts (4), saves (14), fewest walks allowed (134), and fewest home runs allowed (22). 
 

PARKING INFORMATION:

Visitors are encouraged to park at the baseball field, but overflow parking will be allowed at the Mitchell Center (Trumbull Aquatics Center parking lot), and a shuttle between the Mitchell Center and the Big Red Baseball Field will be provided if needed. Handicapped parking will be available in the baseball field parking lot on a first come, first served basis.

TICKETS:

The prices for admission to the 2023 Granville Regional are $10 for adults and $6 for children and seniors. Each ticket is good for one day of admission at the tournament.

PET POLICY:

Pets are not allowed at the Big Red Baseball Field.

SEATING / RESTROOMS:

Limited bleacher seating will be provided, so fans are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs if possible.Temporary restrooms (Porta Johns) will be available at the Big Red Baseball Field, and additional restroom facilities will be accessible in the Mitchell Center.

CONCESSIONS / MERCHANDISE:

Limited concessions will be for sale out of the softball press box during each day of the tournament, and NCAA Merchandise for the Regional Round will also be for sale.
