After winning its third straight North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament title, Denison has earned the top seed in the 2022 Granville Regional, which will be played this weekend, May 20-22. at the Big Red Baseball Field in Granville, Ohio.
Denison will open play in the tournament on Friday at 11:00 a.m. against fourth-seeded Penn State Harrisburg. In the other opening-round game on Friday, second-seeded Salisbury will square off against third-seeded William Paterson at 2:30 p.m.
The double-elimination tournament continues into Saturday morning with the losers of the first two contests squaring off at 11:00 a.m. in an elimination game while the winners of the first two games will meet at 2:30 p.m. with a slot in the championship round on the line. Â
The final slot in the championship round will be determined Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m. with the winner of game three taking on the loser of game four. The first championship game will be played Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with game seven set for 45 minutes following the conclusion of game six if necessary.Â

Denison baseball selected to host first NCAA Regional Championship
Fresh off of their second straight North Coast Athletic Conference Regular-Season Championship and third straight NCAC Tournament title, the Denison University baseball team has been chosen by the NCAA as a host institution for the Division III Regionals. The Big Red earned the NCAC's automatic bid to regionals for the third year in a row, and will now compete in the NCAA Tournament for the fourth year in a row after doing so for the first time in program history in 2018. Denison, currently ranked No. 13 in the 2022 D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25 Poll, will bring a 33-9 overall record into regionals.
Salisbury draws William Paterson in Granville Regional
The seventh-ranked Salisbury University baseball team is headed to its 22nd consecutive NCAA Division III Tournament and 27th overall. The Sea Gulls' quest to repeat as national champions will begin against the William Paterson Pioneers in the Granville, Ohio Region on Friday, May 20, at 2:30 p.m. The Sea Gulls went 30-8 in the regular season and won their second straight Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) Tournament championship, icing their 17th conference title with a 4-2 win over Christopher Newport on Sunday. SU earned its way into the field of 60 through the lone Pool B at-large bid. The bid extends the second-longest tournament streak in Division III. Salisbury has played in every NCAA Tournament since 2000, making it to the College World Series six times and winning the national title in 2021. Only Cortland State, which made the field for the 29th straight time, carries a longer active streak.
NJAC-Champion William Paterson Returns to National State for First Time in Two Decades, Heads to Ohio for NCAA Tournament Regional May 20-22
Fresh off a clean sweep through the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Baseball Tournament, William Paterson makes its first NCAA Tournament appearance in more than two decades as the third-seeded Pioneers (30-13, 12-6 NJAC) will play second-seeded and seventh-ranked Salisbury (30-8, 6-0 C2C) in the first round Friday, May 20, at 2:30 p.m. at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. WP returns to the national stage for the 18th time overall and the first time since 1999 (1977, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2022). One of the nation's most dominant programs in the 1990s, William Paterson won the 1992 and 1996 NCAA Division III national titles and has reached the College World Series on seven occasions overall, including four within an eight-year period (1982, 1985, 1988, 1992, 1995, 1996, 1999).Â
Penn State Harrisburg Headed to Denison for NCAA Regional Action
For the third consecutive season and fourth time in program history, Penn State Harrisburg's baseball team is headed to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. The Lions will compete in the Granville, Ohio region hosted by No. 13 Denison, beginning on Friday morning, May 20. Fresh off winning a second straight United East Championship and sporting a 30-15 overall record, Penn State Harrisburg secured a spot in the Granville Regional and will face the hosts from No. 19 Denison (32-8) in the team's first outing on Friday morning.Â

PARKING INFORMATION:
Visitors are encouraged to park at the baseball field, but overflow parking will be allowed at the Mitchell Center (Trumbull Aquatics Center parking lot), and a shuttle between the Mitchell Center and the Big Red Baseball Field will be provided if needed. Handicapped parking will be available in the baseball field parking lot on a first come, first served basis.

TICKETS:
The prices for admission to the 2022 Granville Regional are $10 for adults and $6 for children and seniors. Each ticket is good for one day of admission at the tournament.
PET POLICY:
Pets are not allowed at the Big Red Baseball Field.
SEATING / RESTROOMS:
Limited bleacher seating will be provided, so fans are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs if possible.Temporary restrooms (Porta Johns) will be available at the Big Red Baseball Field, and additional restroom facilities will be accessible in the Mitchell Center.
CONCESSIONS / MERCHANDISE:
Limited concessions will be for sale out of the softball press box during each day of the tournament, and NCAA Merchandise for the Regional Round will also be for sale.
