No. 3 Denison Win Sixth-Straight NCAC Tournament Championship Over No. 9 Kenyon, 4-0

Granville, Ohio - On a chilly morning in Granville on the campus of Denison, the No. 3 Big Red were surgical in their sixth-straight NCAC Tournament Championship, winning the final 4-0 over No. 9 Kenyon. Ethan Green and Kael Shah along with Wesley Huang and Jacob Patterson took care of business in doubles, and the Big Red took the momentum into singles with quick wins to take home the championship. With the win, Denison earns the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Doubles: The duo of Green and Shah got off to a hot start, winning the first five games to eventually take home a 6-1 decision to kick off the day for Denison. It was then Patterson and Huang who cleaned up in the No. 3 position to claim the first point to go ahead by one heading into singles play. Andreas Chapides and Nick Meyers were up 5-3 in the No. 2 spot before abandoning the match.

Singles: Denison continued to roll, as the middle part of the lineup dominated to capture the title. Patterson won his second match of the day with a 6-2, 6-2 victory in the No. 3 spot, and Chapides battled for a gritty 6-3, 6-2 win to go up 3-0. It was then Shah who delivered the final blow, securing the sweep with a 6-4, 6-3 victory and a sixth-straight NCAC Tournament Title.

With today's title, Denison earned the automatic qualifying bid to the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championships. On May 4, the Denison Big Red will find out who they will be taking on in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
