Granville, Ohio – On Senior Day, the men's lacrosse team clinched the No. 3 seed in the 2026 North Coast Athletic Conference tournament, delivering a dominant 24-6 victory over DePauw University. Closing the regular season at 8-8, the Big Red were named NCAC Men's Lacrosse Conference Co-Champions after posting a 6-2 conference record. Denison captured its 23rd conference title as part of a historic five-way tie for the championship.
A slow start in the first quarter kept the two teams within three goals of each other. By the second quarter, Denison found its rhythm and outscored DePauw 6-1. With an 11-3 lead at halftime, the Big Red doubled its lead in the third, conceding just one goal to its 11. In the final frame, Denison scored twice, highlighted by senior Kevin Berutich's third goal of the day and his 100th career point.?
Across the 60 minutes of play, Denison had a total of 12 different goal scorers, five of whom scored three or more times. The Big Red also had ten different assisters in the game. Brady Monturio recorded six assists and finished with ten points, just two shy of the program's single-game record.
Denison's defense stifled the DePauw Tigers, forcing 13 turnovers. The Tigers completed 17 of 25 clear attempts. In goal, senior Andrew Albert made three saves. Brant Satterly added two more, and Thomas Hancock tallied one. Alex Guiterrez also appeared in goal and was the only Big Red goalie to allow a score.
