Ann Arbor, Mich.: In its final tune-up ahead of the 2026 North Coast Athletic Conference, the No.1 Denison men's swimming and diving team fell to Division I University of Michigan 202-92 on the road. Though the Big Red fell to the Wolverines, there were some highlights from the meet, which included six top-three individual finishes and a relay top-three finish.
Top performances:
Two Denison swimmers finished the day with a second-place finish. George Goins swam the 1000 Free in 9:19.40, just nine seconds shy of the first-place finisher, resulting in a solid second-place finish. Jack Hill notched a second-place finish of his own in the 100 Free after swimming it in 44.64 (B-cut).
Four more individuals would earn third-place finishes throughout the meet. Hunter Raymer finished third in the 1000 Free with a time of 9:41.94. In the 100 and 200 Back, Ben Bevill finished in third, swimming the 100 Back in 49.65 and the 200 in 1:51.83. Nick Hensel and Liam Nelson rounded out the third-place individual finishes for Denison. Hensel swam the 50 Free in 20.47, while Nelson swam a 55.77, 100 Breast. In the 400 Medley Relay, the team of Bevill, Nelson, Sam Hibbert, and Hensel earned Denison's fifth third-place finish with a time of 3:17.59.

Diving Results
Denison place two top-five finishers in both the men's 1-meter and 3-meter dives. In the 1-meter dive Nick Fogle took home fourth place after scoring 322.95 points. Behind him was Seamus McCann with a point total of 299.40 for fifth place. McCann would go on to finish fourth in the 3-meter dive with a score of 277.35, which was closely followed by teammate Brendan Stanley who finished in fifth place in the 3-meter dive with a score of 273.00.

Up next for the Big Red
Denison has a break from competition this week, in preparation for the four-day 2026 NCAC Swimming and Diving Championships. The Big Red will host all of the NCAC institutions inside Trumbull Aquatic Center starting on Wednesday, February 11, through Saturday, February 14.
