Granville, Ohio- The Denison field hockey team extended its win streak to two after defeating the Sewanee Tigers 1-0 in its fourth home matchup of the 2025 season. Denison moves to 2-3 for the season, while Sewanee drops to 1-4.
Denison's lone goal of the day came in the opening five minutes of play when Lulu Keil collected a ball in a scramble in front of the Tigers' goal and snuck it into the back of Sewanee's cage. For the remainder of regulation, neither team managed to find the back of the cage, despite earning corners throughout the game.
The Big Red held a six-to-five edge in penalty corners, with five of the corners coming in the fourth quarter. Denison's Therese Lucian finished the match with two crucial saves to notch her second win of the season.
