Greencastle, Ind.- The Denison women's track and field team finished in fourth place at the 2025 North Coast Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships after earning 77.5 points across the weekend. The 2025 hosts, DePauw University, took home first place, completing the Triple Crown after securing the Cross-Country, Indoor, and Outdoor championships. The Tigers tallied 235 points, followed by Wittenberg University with 171, and Ohio Wesleyan was third with 125 points.
Day One (May 2)
Denison scored a third of their total points on day one with four top-ten finishes in four events, and of those four top-ten finishes, three individuals earned points for Denison's team total of 25.
Field Events
In pole vault, senior
Catelyn Gagnier finished sixth after clearing a height of 3.05m. Over in shot put,
Sydney Flores threw a distance of 13.12m for second place, while teammate
Mariel Drost earned the NCAC title in hammer throw after throwing a distance of 44.84m
Day Two (May 3)
On day two of the NCAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the Big Red tripled their point total thanks to 12 top-ten finishes, six of which were All-Conference finishes.
Running and HurdlesÂ
Senior
Anaya Jolivette tallied two All-NCAC finishes. The first came in the 100m dash with a time of 12.11 for second place; in the 200m dash, she crossed the finish line of 25.12 for third. In the 400m dash, sophomore
Piper Lee earned All-conference honors after finishing with a time of 1:00.05 for third.
Libby Hornick, Lee,
Lillian Wallace-Larkin, and
Emily Brennan ran the 4x400m relay in 4:01.80 for third place and All-conference honors. Pacing the distance runners with a top-ten finish was
Fiona Martinelli, who earned an eighth-place finish in the 1500m run with a time of 4:51.14.
Mira Renaldi took seventh in the 100m hurdles after finishing in 15.37 seconds. In the 400m hurdles,
Emily Brennan earned the Big Red's sixth individual All-NCAC honor after finishing second. Joining Brennan in the top ten in the 400m hurdles was
Ava Sinex, who placed seventh with a time of 1:08.33.
Field and Jumps
Earning her second All-Conference finish for the weekend was junior
Sydney Flores, who threw a distance of 38.46m for second place in discus. Over at high jump,
Emery Kurth finished in eighth place after clearing a height of 1.43m. Kurth would later earn a fourth-place finish in triple jump after jumping a distance of 10.56m. Jolivette rounded out the top-ten finishes after taking tenth in long jump with a distance of 4.83m.

Members of the Denison Big Red will travel to Berea, Ohio, from May 8 to May 9 for the Baldwin Wallace Harrison Dillard Twilight
