Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

#15 Denison Remain Undefeated in Conference with 18-3 Win Over DePauw

Greencastle, Ind.- The No. 15 Denison University men's lacrosse team remains undefeated in North Coast Athletic Conference play after defeating DePauw University 18-3 on the road. The Big Red improves to 8-4 for the season and 4-0 in NCAC play, while the Tigers drop to 3-7 overall and 0-3 in conference play.

Well-balanced scoring and precision passing helped Denison to its fourth win in a row heading into the final third of the 2025 season. It took Denison just under two minutes to find the back of DePauw's net, and by the ten-minute mark in the first quarter, the Big Red were already leading the Tigers 3-0. Hitting their stride early, Denison would score 12 of its 18 goals in the first half while holding DePauw to just five shots and no goals.

Though the Big Red's scoring slowed in the second half, Denison methodically worked the ball around their attacking third and scored four more goals in the third quarter. Midway through the third, they gave up two goals on the other end. It was rather quiet for both teams in the fourth quarter. DePauw scored one more goal for the night and held Denison to just two goals in the final quarter.

The Big Red had three team members finish the night with three goals: Jack Moellering, Macky Peck, and Tommy Quinson. Michael Cassidy would put in two goals, and seven different team members scored the remaining seven goals. A crucial facilitator to a third of Denison's scoring was Kevin Berutich, who dished out six assists and scored one goal. Quinson finished the evening with three assists, followed by Collin Murphy with two assists. In total, the Big Red had 14 assists across the evening.

The offense found its spark thanks to the dominance in the face-off circle; Grant Larson finished the night 10-for-10 in face-offs, while teammates Luke Marascio went 6-for-6, and Colin MacLean went 7-9, meaning Denison lost just two of the 25 faceoffs against DePauw. Marascio and MacLean would also lead the team in ground balls with five.

Andrew Albert started in goal for Denison and recorded seven saves, and in the fourth quarter, both Brant Satterly and Thomas Hancock, where Hancock stopped two goals. DePauw split time in goal between starting goalie Anthony Reinhardt and Emmet Abar.

Denison held a 45-16 edge in shots and a 36-15 advantage in ground balls collected. The Big Red were 3-4 in extra-man opportunities and gave up no goals on the other end in man-down situations. Defensively, Denison forced eight caused turnovers; however, the Big Red's ability to gain possession and move the ball down the field proved to be the defining factor in today's 18-3 victory over the Tigers.
