Westerville, Ohio — The No. 26 Denison women's tennis team travelled to Otterbein University for an NCAC versus OAC showdown on Saturday. The Big Red, coming off of a week break since their action in Florida, take on the Cardinals for just the second time in program history. With a 6-1 victory, Denison moves to 8-3 on the season and hand Otterbein their third loss of the year, dropping them to 9-3.
Up Next: Denison will travel to Madison, Wisconsin, next weekend to compete in the Midwest Invitational.
The Big Red broke the break's rust off early with a clean sweep of the doubles matches to jump out to a 1-0 lead. After a brief weather delay, Denison picked up right where they had left off, securing back-to-back victories from Caroline Kittle and Caitlin Vanwinkle. Kittle won her match with straight 6-0 set victories. Maia Nowicki, Elizabeth Hoo, and Dasha Chistyakova slammed the door shut with straight set wins to extend the Big Red win streak to five.
