Granville, Ohio – Despite a strong offensive showing and an 18-9 advantage in total shots, the Denison women's soccer team was unable to break through as the Big Red played to a 0-0 draw against Wittenberg on Saturday at Kienzle-Hylbert Stadium. Denison moves to 6-4-5 overall and 1-1-3 in North Coast Athletic Conference play, while Wittenberg shifts to 6-2-7 and 2-1-3 in conference action.
Denison controlled much of the first half, outshooting the Tigers 7-6 with four shots on goal, but could not convert on their early looks. The Big Red continued to create pressure through the midfield and into the final third, while the defense held steady to keep the match scoreless at the break.

However, Wittenberg's goalkeeper came up with key saves down the stretch to preserve the scoreline. The Big Red defense and goalkeeping were equally composed, allowing just three shots on goal throughout the contest.
Denison finished with 18 total shots, including 12 on target, compared to Wittenberg's nine shots and three on frame. Both teams earned three corner kicks, and the Big Red committed 10 fouls to the Tigers' 12.
