BLUFFTON, Ohio (Sept. 13) – The Denison University volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 victory over the Penn State Behrend Lions to open action Friday evening at the Sommer Center Spiketacular at Bluffton University.
The second-straight win improves the Big Red to 4-4 overall. The loss drops PSB to 2-7.
Denison won by set scores of 25-22, 25-17 and 27-18 over the Lions.
The Big Red compiled a .291 hitting percentage in the victory.
Cailey Johns finished with a season-high 11 kills.
Devon Moore chipped in nine kills.
Alice Kempf recorded 46 assists while adding five digs and three kills.
Sadie Habeeb led the way defensively with 15 digs.
Denison will play two matches on Saturday at Bluffton. The Big Red faces the host Beavers at 10 a.m. before taking on Hilbert College at 2 p.m.
