GREENSBORO, N.C. – Recent Denison University graduate
Noah Leib (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Township) earned the top defensive honor in baseball when it was announced that he was the first baseman on the 2024 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III Gold Glove Team. Leib was one of just nine NCAA Division III baseball players to receive a spot on the prestigious Gold Glove Team.
Leib committed just one error in 440 chances this spring. He accounted for 416 put outs and added 23 assists. He also played a role in 36 of Denison's 42 double plays. Leib started 49 of the 50 games for Denison during the 2024 season.
Leib's selection on the ABCA NCAA Division III Region 7 All-Defensive Team allowed him to be eligible for Gold Glove honors. Region 7, which is comprised of 49 Division III teams among six conferences, including the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC), the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC), Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC), the University Athletic Association (UAA), the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) and the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA).
The honor was yet another for Leib, who earned All-America as a Fourth Team selection by the ABCA/Rawlings. Leib was an All-Region 7 First Team selection by the ABCA. D3baseball.com had Leib as a Third Team All-Region 7 pick. Leib was previously chosen on the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) First Team for a second-straight year.
Leib was a key cog for the Big Red, who posted a school record 42 wins and made its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division III Baseball Super Regionals.
