WESTERVILLE, Ohio (Oct. 1) – The Denison University volleyball team suffered a sweep at the hands of Otterbein University in non-conference action Tuesday evening at the Rike Center.
The host Cardinals secured the match with set wins of 25-15, 25-21 and 25-21.
Claire Hamilton, the reigning North Coast Athletic Conference volleyball athlete of the week, finished with nine kills.
Maeve Perry added eight kills in the loss.
Alice Kempf finished with 21 assists, seven digs and two total blocks.
Sadie Habeeb had the team-high in digs with 13.
Otterbein held advantages in kills (41-27, aces (8-5), blocks (11-3) and digs (40-33) in their victory.
Denison returns to NCAC play versus Hiram on Saturday, Oct. 5. In conjunction with Saturday's game, the Big Red will host its Dig Pink game. Start time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
