GRANVILLE, Ohio (September 3, 2021) – The Denison University women's soccer team not only claimed a 1-0 victory over George Fox University to start off its new 2021 season, but the Big Red also celebrated
Gail Murphy's 300th career win as the head coach at Denison.
The Big Red showed strength on offense as they dominated possession in the first half and outshot the Bruins 17-6 overall and 7-3 on shots on goal. Sophomores

The Big Red's win marks a historic 300th career win for Head Coach
Gail Murphy. Coach Murphy now posts an impressive record of 300-119-44 at the start of her 25th season as head coach.
"This was our first official game since 2019, so to be out on the field together again was really special and to get the win made it that much sweeter," said Murphy. "It was a hard-fought match against a good George Fox team. We're looking forward to tomorrow's match and continuing to grow."
It will be a quick turnaround for Denison, which tomorrow (Sept. 4) hosts Alma College on 5 p.m. on Barclay-Thomsen Field.
