GRANVILLE, Ohio (September 11, 2021) – Freshman
Cameron McIntosh scored twice to help lead the Denison University men's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday night on Barclay-Thomsen Field.
It was the third straight shutout win for Denison, which improved to 3-1 on the season while Baldwin Wallace fell to 2-3.
Senior goalkeeper
Dylan Brown made three saves to earn his third shutout in a row as well.
McIntosh's pair of goals came first, less than 12 minutes into the match, and then lastly, in the final six minutes of action, and were assisted by
Cole Trigg and
Ethan Miracle, respectively.
Leading the Big Red in shot attempts was Miracle with four, three of which were on goal, including Denison's second goal of the night in the 18th minute after the assist by
Luca Vicinelli.
It was Miracle's second goal of the season so far while Vicinelli has now started his junior season with at least one point in all four matches.
The Big Red will now try to make it four wins in a row as they host Capital University at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14. The last meeting between Denison and Capital ended with a 0-0 tie back on September 11, 2019.
