WOOSTER, Ohio—After a one-year hiatus from intercollegiate competition, Denison softball returned to action on Saturday falling 5-2 in game one and 6-2 in game two against the College of Wooster.
- In game one, Denison tied the game at 1-1 in the fourth inning when Taylor Faulkenberg stole home in a double-steal situation with Caitlin Ellwanger. Later in the fourth, Abby Arabia's double to right-center scored Noelle Chovanec.
- Wooster's Lilly McLendon tied the game at 2-2 in the fourth in the with a solo home run to right. The Scots followed with a Molly Likins solo shot in the fifth.
- Molly Likins was 4-for-4 with 3 RBIs in the opener. Olivia Johnson got the win and Faulkenberg took the loss for DU.
- In game two, Faulkenberg opened with an RBI double in the first to give DU an early 1-0 lead.
- Wooster's Molly Likins continued her big day with a 2-run homer to center in the third to give Wooster a 3-1 lead.
Denison will host Wooster on Sunday, March 21 at 1 p.m. in a doubleheader at the Denison Softball Field. The Denison Sports Network broadcast will begin at 12:45 p.m.
