WOOSTER, Ohio (October 30, 2021) – The Denison University men's soccer team finished its 2021 regular season with a 0-0 tie at the College of Wooster on Saturday afternoon.

Both Denison's Dylan Brown and Wooster's Hamilton Schattgen made six saves throughout the full 110 minutes.

After being outshot 13-7 in the second half and 2-1 in the first overtime period, the Big Red outshot the Fighting Scots 3-0 in the second overtime.

Brown had to make a good save in the 88th minute to help send the match to overtime, and then the first shot of overtime was by Denison's Rohan Tripathy that was saved by Schattgen in the 92nd minute.

Brown then made back-to-back saves in the 94th and 95th minutes to again keep it scoreless.

In the second overtime, Jake Krueger shot wide right in the 103rd minute, Lucas Lilley had a shot saved bottom center in the 104th minute, and then Lilley had another shot saved bottom center in the 105th minute.

Cameron McIntosh led Denison with five shot attempts while Krueger had three and Lilley and Vitor Rocha both had two. Additionally, Lilley was the lone Big Red player with more than one shot on goal in the match.

"Really challenging field conditions made for an exciting game of college soccer despite the score line," spoke Head Coach Brandon Bianco. "Our guys did a great job keeping a shutout and we look forward to playing in the conference championship tournament next weekend."

Denison wraps up its regular season with a record of 10-4-2 overall and 6-2-1 in the North Coast Athletic Conference, and will now play in the NCAC Tournament semifinals at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3, at No. 20 Ohio Wesleyan University. The Big Red fell 2-0 on the road at OWU earlier this season on September 25 in what was their first conference match at the time.
