Denison completed competition at the 2012 Washington & Lee-Virginia Military Institute Carnival on Saturday afternoon in Lexington, Va.

Senior Chris Roth posted a pair of top-8 performances to pace the Big Red.  Roth took fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.74.  The senior also placed eighth in the 100 meters after crossing the finish line in 11.50.

In the 400-meter event, senior Win Fox and sophomore Ivanhoe Hall placed in the posted times of 54.58 and 55.35, respectively.  In the high jump, junior Joe Nichols finished in a tie for fifth place after clearing 5-08.75.

The Big Red also posted a pair of seventh-place finishes in the 4x100 and 4x800 relay events.  The foursome of Roth, Hall, Fox and Nichols combined to finish the 4x100 in 46.14.  The grouping of Stephen Czujko, Joe Thackery, Steven Johnson and Connor Ford posted a time of 8:40.94 in the 4x800.

Denison returns to competition on Friday at the Wooster Invitational.  Events are slated to begin at 3 p.m.
